The city of Merrill is located in Lincoln County, in the north-central region of Wisconsin.  The winding Wisconsin River runs through the heart of the city, making it a great place for its 10,000 residents to live, work and play.

Set in a semi-rural environment, Merrill has an economy based on a balance of light industry and tourism.

Merrill’s thriving downtown area is supported by the local Chamber of Commerce, while community organizations include branches of the Optimist, Rotary, and Lions service clubs, as well as churches of all denominations.
