Over the past two weeks, Kate's students have been putting their heads and hearts together to think of ways they can spread kindness! After reading The Kindness Quilt by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace in guidance class, they got creative and made their very own kindness quilt. Each student contributed a special piece, reflecting their unique ways to make the world a little brighter.

March 3-7th is Read Across America Week! One way we will be celebrating is with dress up days.

Yesterday was our 100th day of school here at Kate Goodrich. I'm not sure who had more fun, the students or the staff! Students were also tasked with finding 100 pictures of Principal Kahr around the building.

Reminder: No School February 13th and 14th.

Don't forget winter gear for our sledding day tomorrow!

Our January Mindsetter of the Month is Mary Frisch! Mary always displays a positive attitude and emulates energy that bring smiles to others. She dedicates her work and life to making it a better place for everyone that connects with her. Thank you Mary for being a bright shiny light in our world here at Kate Goodrich. We love you!

While we were stuck inside for recess most of this week, these kids are making the most of it in 2nd grade!

Reminder: No school for Kindergarten through 4th grade on January 24th. All other grades and classes are in session.

Goodness were we glad to get outside today and play in the snow!

This school year, we’re excited to share that our dedicated support staff will be participating in the Strengthening Families Program during 4 scheduled MSI days!
The program will provide our staff with valuable tools to strengthen relationships and support student well-being both at school and at home. What’s even more exciting is how this aligns with our Literacy Together initiative! By fostering strong connections with families and students, we’re building a foundation that not only supports emotional health but also encourages a love for learning—especially when it comes to literacy. 📚
Together, we are creating a supportive environment that empowers our students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. 💙
